Genre: Power Metal Sci-Fi
Daemonium Tympanon comes to the music scene to present their thematic work based on a science fiction novel written by guitarist and vocalist Gustavo González. This is how they define a new style called Sci-Fi Power Metal, which blends different styles such as thrash, heavy metal, core, and progressive. They also incorporate various electronic elements, giving it a futuristic touch very appropriate for their style, which is filled with stories of galactic battles, time travel, tales of life, death, and Satanism.
The idea for this project arose at the beginning of 2023 and since it was not possible to find musicians who could combine and make this project their own, it was on standby until 2024 when percussionist and drummer Victor Moreno, former member of (Cidio) (Demons Dark) (The Fall of Faraoh), joined this idea.
By the end of 2024, Giorgio Vargas, son of Baltazar Vargas, a musician and guitarist from the old guard of the Tuy Valleys, was called to participate in the project. He had participated in the projects Genocidio and the renowned band from the Tuy Valleys, Inkisitorium, who sadly passed away recently. Through Giorgio Vargas, he continues his father's legacy and musical vein. He also participated in the Power metal project Eclesiastés from the same city in Miranda, giving several shows that were well received by national metal fans.
Also joining us is Alexander Chaparro, lead guitarist, composer, and founder of the band Eclesiastés. He has proven his musical acumen and striking lyrics in the rock scene. Gustavo González auditioned to become the band's vocalist. After performing several shows due to personal issues, he left Eclesiastés to form the project Daemonium Tympanon.
Thus, by the beginning of 2025, two former Ecclesiastes join the ranks, along with Víctor Moreno, and finally, to fully bring Monday Up to life, guitarist Cesar Azuaje joins. He is a Venezuelan guitarist originally from the west of Caracas. He has been a guitarist for over 20 years, being part of many bands since the late 90s. From an early age, he showed musical talent, starting to play the piano at an early age, then moving on to the guitar at the age of 14. He has trained in multiple styles, including classical music, Spanish guitar, bossa nova, tango, and various styles of metal. Having knowledge of keyboards, bass, percussion instruments, drums, and vocal accompaniment, he stands out most in rhythm guitar, recently joining the Venezuelan sci-fi power metal band Daemonium Tympanon under the alias "Kill Master."
And finally, Gustavo González, who started the band Altair in 2000, has also participated in several solo projects and bands. He demonstrates musical knowledge and styles ranging from classical music, neoclassical metal, and the best influences of European power metal. This creates a powerful mix for Daemonium Tympanon, which they hope will soon be a hot topic as they prepare their first album, "Called the Fall of God's Army." This gives a new impetus to this style they call Sci-Fi Metal, and with this, they will give several national and international performances.
